Women in Technology: SAGE signs up to the Tech Talent Charter
Gender diversity in Technology has been at the forefront of DEI work at SAGE since this important program was established in 2018. With senior sponsorship alongside employee involvement the Women in Technology employee resource group has made proactive short and long-term gains to address our gender imbalance:
- Policies, working practises and suppliers reviewed to ensure full gender equity in our recruitment
- Flexible working policies and mentoring available to all employees
- Technology internships in place for apprentices
- Internal series of “Tech Talks” to promote women and careers in technology
- Gender metrics in place for new starters, leavers, promotions and recruitment
- Signatory and contributor to the Tech Talent Charter
The Tech Talent Charter (TTC) is a non-profit organisation leading a movement to address inequality in the UK tech sector and drive inclusion and diversity in a practical and uniquely measurable way. The TTC's ultimate goal is that the UK tech sector becomes truly inclusive and a reflection of the society which it represents. Joining the TechTalent Charter was not simply an opportunity to collaborate and benefit from the support it offers. It also gives SAGE a strong platform to broadcast our commitment to take positive action in 3 distinct areas: Inclusive Recruitment, Retention & Career Progression.
