SAGE Publishing to partner with International Association for the Psychology of Religion to publish Archive for the Psychology of Religion

SAGE Publishing, in partnership with the International Association for the Psychology of Religion (IAPR), is to publish the Archive for the Psychology of Religion/ Archiv für Religionspsychologie (APR) from 2019.

Since 1914, IAPR has developed the journal into an established periodical dedicated to research in the psychology of religion. A multidisciplinary journal, APR is open to submissions containing all scientific methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative. The first issue published with SAGE will be in March 2019.

Commenting on APR joining SAGE, Kevin L. Ladd, Editor-in-Chief, stated:

"SAGE is well-known for having respected and global psychology and religion portfolios. The editorial team looks forward to working with SAGE, to harnessing its marketing experience, and to building on the shared goal of developing the journal into the primary resource in its field. We believe that the strong international reputation and presence of SAGE will provide an excellent forum for potential authors to influence the field with regard to research, theory, and pedagogy. To that end, we are especially pleased that SAGE supports open science practices that will be at the core of the journal’s identity moving forward.”

Miranda Nunhofer, Vice President, Humanities and Social Science Journals, SAGE, added:

“The field of the psychology of religion continues to grow and develop into a pivotal area of international research. APR has a long-standing presence in the field and we look forward to working alongside the esteemed Editorial Board and society to further enhance the work and reach of the journal.”
