The higher education landscape is changing to reflect the diversity within the background of its learners. Several programs have become leaders in preparing precollegiate students for the college experience. Representatives from the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) network of schools and the College Advising Corps will discuss best practices in positioning underrepresented minority students for success in college.
This one-hour webinar will kick of a series of three conversations with Drs. Byrd and Mason sharing parts of their newly released Lever Press publication, Academic Pipeline Programs: Diversifying Pathways from the Bachelors to the Professoriate. Drs. Byrd and Mason will provide an overview of the book. Panelists will share best practices of their programs discussed in the book. The session will end with a Q&A session with the audience.
