Sage Launches Literacy Information Microsite for Combatting Mis-, Dis-, and Malinformation

Sage has unveiled a literary resource hub aimed at countering the rise of online misinformation, disinformation, and deceptive content.

The newly launched Information Literacy Microsite is dedicated to addressing the issues of mis-, dis-, and malinformation that are prevalent in the digital realm. This platform offers open-access research articles on vital topics such as digital literacy, censorship, propaganda, digital society, media ethics, and the perils of mis-, dis-, and malinformation. To ensure relevancy, content updates will occur on a quarterly basis.

Julia Slater, editor at Sage, emphasized the significance of digital literacy in the contemporary age, "In a time where digital technologies are the primary conduits of communication and information, digital literacy has emerged as an indispensable skill for thriving in our interconnected society. Our Information Literacy microsite provides a comprehensive exploration of the critical thinking and enhanced governance practices required in this digital era, given their substantial real-world consequences.
