  • The Equitable Data Working Group released their report of recommended practices for federal agencies towards a vision for equitable data. The group was established by President Biden’s Executive Order on Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government.
  • Social Science Space continues to update the Social and Behavioral Science and the Russia-Ukraine War: A Collection. This contains curated resources and publications relating to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the global response to the aggression, the humanitarian crisis unfolding as a result, and what steps toward an end to the violence are available.

  • The United Kingdom's Academy of Social Sciences welcomes Fellows nominations for Autumn 2022 (June 1 deadline)
  • SAGE Publishing is inviting applications for the 2022 SAGE Concept Grants, which provide funding for new software tools for social science research (June 5 deadline)
  • Political Studies Association launched their new Diverse Voices PhD Scholarships (June 17 deadline)
  • The William T. Grant Scholars Program for Researchers in Social, Behavioral, and Health Sciences is open for applications (July 6 deadline)

General News

  • The Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences released its Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization Progress Update.
  • The Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences introduces their Big Thinking series, bringing together leading scholars and public figures who present forward-thinking research, ideas, and solutions to the critical questions and issues of our time.
  • The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine released recommendations for the Future of Education Research at the Institute of Education Sciences.
  • SAGE signed onto two letters by the Coalition for National Science Funding urging Congress (House and Senate) to fund the National Science Foundation at least $11 billion for Fiscal Year 2023.
  • The U.S. National Science Foundation is partnering with the Social Science Research Council to support research on public health guidance and its impact on the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
