Pride Month

Pride Month is a time to acknowledge and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. Throughout the month of June, we’ll be highlighting resources and events to raise awareness and honor Pride.

We have recently signed on to the Human Rights Commission Statement on Anti-LGBTQ State Legislation to take a stand against anti-LGBTQ legislation in the US and offer our support to transgender youth. We are also continuing our partnership with the American Library Association's Office for Intellectual Freedom on Unite Against Book Bans. At the end of month we are hosting a virtual panel, Expressions of LGBTQIA+ Joy (you can read more and register below).

Pride does not end in June. SAGE’s commitment to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and to learn—and share—is ongoing and an important part of our overall DEI commitment.

Expressions of LGBTQIA+ Joy: Celebrations in self, community, media & art

With expertise from diverse perspectives, panelists will discuss the vital role that self, community, art, and media play for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. The panel will be moderated by Gemma Ware from The Conversation and we will be joined by panelists Jacob Bloomfield, Rosie Nelson, Julian Kevon Glover, and Jonathan F. Alexander.
