Reimagining Social Institutions with the SSRC

Reimagining social institutions event series with the SSRC

As part of our commitment to enable the work of social and behavioral scientists to help dismantle mechanisms of discrimination, oppression and violence, we are partnering with the SSRC to launch a new series of events to reimagine anti-racist social institutions.

The first of the events, “Reimagining Schools” features several prominent experts of inequality in higher education from the United States and the United Kingdom in an hourlong conversation moderated by Alondra Nelson, president of the Social Science Research Council and the Harold F. Linder Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study. The panelists will be Prudence L. Carter of the University of California, Berkeley; Pawan Dhingra of Amherst College; and academic and author Nasima Hassan.

The free event starts at 4 p.m. GMT/Noon EDT/9 a.m. PDT on Wednesday, October 28.
