Show us How Your Library Innovates

Enter Our Photo Contest for the Chance to Win a Registration and Travel Stipend for the 2022 Charleston Conference

SAGE Publishing’s 2022 Photo Contest is now open for entries. We’re asking academic librarians to submit a photograph depicting a recent innovation in their library for the chance to win a travel and registration stipend for this year’s Charleston Conference.

Big or small, digital or physical – with your entry we want to see how your library experiments, redefines, and reimagines to continuously improve support for your patrons. Whether it be an improvement to your workflow, a new service to support patrons, or a creative way to show all your library has to offer, snap a pic to let us see.

“As the role of the librarian transforms in response to faculty and student needs, librarians are innovating, creating, improving, and simplifying the patron experience,” says Martha Sedgwick, VP of Product Innovation at SAGE.  “At SAGE, we see their role as becoming more central and more crucial to teaching and research and we want to support and partner with librarians to enable their innovations and grow the library voice and impact.”

Librarians can make submissions via email to SAGE.contest@sagepub.com. Submissions must include:

  • The name of the library and higher education institution at which they work

  • A photo depicting how their library demonstrates its impact

  • A title for the image – no more than 10 words

  • A description for the image – no more than 40 words

Entries must be submitted by September 15, 2022, at 11:59 PM PST.

The grand prize winner will receive complimentary registration to the conference, as well as a $500 travel stipend. An additional five winners will receive $50 Amazon gift cards. All winners’ images will be featured in the Charleston Conference’s 2023 photo desk calendar provided to all registrants.
