Measuring Societal Impact in Business Research: From Challenges to Change

There is a growing, urgent conversation around understanding the societal impact of academic research—particularly within Business & Management. Current metrics—especially those that rely on citation count—do not fully indicate “quality” and fail to capture the influence that research can have on long-term policy, real-world business practice, and the public sphere.
