SAGE Shares Free Teaching Resources from their 2021 TAA Award-Winning Textbooks
In a company record, SAGE brings home nine wins across each award category
SAGE Publishing has shared resources from nine titles that received 2021Textbook & Academic Authors Association (TAA) Awards. The free-to-access materials from the winning texts (see the full list of titles below) support online teaching and learning and include webinars, videos, student activities, and more.
Nine titles received 2021 awards, across the disciplines of Business & Management, Communication & Media Studies, Political Science, Psychology, Research Methods, and Sociology. This is the largest number of wins that SAGE has received in any one year, and the fourth year in a row that the company has received more awards than any other publisher. The TAA Awards recognize excellence over time (McGuffey Longevity Award), excellence in current textbooks and learning materials (Textbook Excellence Award), and excellence in first edition textbooks and learning materials (Most Promising New Textbook Award).
“For TAA to acknowledge SAGE in this way, with nine awards across each category, is a testament to SAGE’s commitment to publishing high-quality content enhanced by easy-to-use technology that’s engaging, accessible, and affordable for students,” says Michele Sordi, Senior Vice President and Head of US College at SAGE. “We are honored to be partners with these authors and congratulate them in producing exceptional pedagogical materials.”
The freely available resources include:
• video tutorials and instructional, author-led webinars to assist teaching practice
• resources to promote student engagement and professional development, such as short, daily activities to be done outside of the classroom and specific guidance on the skills needed to transition into a professional role
